Pablo Neruda

Pablo Neruda (1904-1973) foi um poeta chileno, considerado um dos mais importantes da língua castelhana do século XX e cônsul do Chile na Espanha e no México. Prêmio Nobel de Literatura de 1971, marxista e revolucionário, desde cedo desenvolveu intensa vida política. Participou da campanha da Unidade Popular que elegeu Salvador Allende em 1970. Morreu oito dias após a queda do Governo da Unidade Popular e da morte de Allende.
