Sinopse

The reconstruction of an adventure, overcoming risks and threats from military power.

Chilean Miguel Littín appears on a list of 5,000 exiles prohibited by the military regime from returning to their homeland. However, in early 1985, he went clandestinely to Chile and filmed over 7,000 meters of film about the reality of his country after 12 years of military dictatorship. Fully disguised, with false documents and under the protection of clandestine democratic organizations, Littín led three European film crews, covering the entire country.

In conversation with the filmmaker, García Márquez learned of his achievement and was able to glimpse another story behind it: that of human adventure, with all its professional and political implications, condensed into these ten chapters. More than a literary text, this book constitutes a model of excellent reporting, a work by a writer parallel to his extraordinary literary career.
