Sinopse
The fourth book in the series that explores the Wars of the Roses. Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, is known as the "Kingmaker," the most powerful man in 15th-century England. Sonless and heirless, he uses his daughters, Anne and Elizabeth, as pawns in his political games. However, despite his efforts, his influence at the court of his former friend and ally, Edward IV, diminishes. Anne, once a charming child, becomes a courageous woman by accompanying her father in a war against the King of England and placing Henry VI's heir on the throne, to whom Anne is married. However, the young woman soon finds herself alone, as her husband dies and her family is distant. She eventually marries Richard, Duke of Gloucester, bringing her back to the center of court intrigue. While her choice may bring her into conflict with other members of the royal family, she will also fulfill her father's greatest ambition: to ascend to the English throne.
