From the same magical universe of Diana Wynne Jones, creator of Howl's Moving Castle , Howl's Moving Castle tells the story of Abdullah, a humble carpet seller whose life is transformed after buying a magic carpet from a mysterious stranger.
Abdullah led a simple, monotonous life. A carpet merchant, he spent most of his days daydreaming, imagining what it would be like if he had been born into a wealthy family. In his imagination, Abdullah is actually a prince who was kidnapped at birth and adopted by a poor carpet merchant... Until one day, a stranger appears at his tent and sells him, for a pittance, a magic carpet. That night, his life is transformed completely.
Shortly after falling asleep, the young merchant awakens to find himself no longer in his tent, but in a vast and luxurious palace, where he meets and soon falls in love with the beautiful and intelligent Flower of the Night. Secretly, the two plan to run away together, but on the night of their escape, Flower of the Night is carried off by a terrible demon, leaving young Abdullah with only one choice: to muster the strength to find her.
This is not, however, an easy mission. Determined to save the girl's life, Abdullah will count on the support of some rather unusual characters: a genie in a lamp, a selfish deserter soldier, and a black cat with a strong personality. Amidst all this adventure, and far from the modest and peaceful life he has lived until now, will Abdullah finally be able to rescue his princess?
